Project Overview

Lighting in an educational environment plays a critical role in student performance, concentration, and overall well-being. For the Genesis School project in Cairo, Lightix worked directly with Genesis to supply an indoor lighting system that transforms traditional classrooms into vibrant, high-functioning learning hubs.

The primary challenge was to balance high-intensity task lighting for academic focus with softer, ambient solutions for common areas and administrative zones, all while adhering to strict educational safety and efficiency standards.

Our Technical Approach

• Optimized Learning Environments: We supplied high-uniformity LED panels and linear fixtures designed to eliminate dark spots and shadows, ensuring that every student has a clear, well-lit view of their workspace and instructional boards.

• Visual Comfort & UGR Control: To prevent eye strain and "computer glare," we prioritized fixtures with low Unified Glare Rating (UGR). This is essential for modern classrooms where digital screens and traditional tablets are used simultaneously.

• Flicker-Free Technology: Our indoor lighting solutions utilize high-quality drivers to ensure flicker-free operation, a critical factor in reducing headaches and maintaining student attention spans throughout the school day.

• Durability & Safety: All fixtures provided for the Genesis School were selected for their long life-cycle and robust build quality, ensuring minimal maintenance requirements within a high-traffic institutional setting.
